Out of over 29,000 students enrolled in Certificate of Merit exams in the state of California each year, several hundred are selected to perform in honors recitals at the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC) State Convention. Each year, students from Peninsula School of Music, Long Beach School of Music and South Bay School of Music are represented at the convention! Music School Alumni Former students have won music scholarships to University of California's Thornton School of Music, University of Miami's Jazz Department, and University of California at Los Angeles among other achievements.
