We have drawn upon many years of instructional and performance expertise to create a
unique musicianship program that incorporates a combined approach to learning.

Taught by experienced professional musicians, the emphasis is on learning solid music
fundamentals,while focusing on the music that keeps a student motivated
and interested. By directly incorporating the songs and styles they enjoy and relate to,
but reinforcing music theory and proper technique. Not only does the student gain immediate gratification learning the songs they like, but they are also building a strong musical foundation at the same time.

BEST NEW BUSINESS AWARD

Peninsula School of Music was voted Best New Business of 2006 by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. The awards were presented by Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe at the community banquet hall of the Los Verdes Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Here's a photo of one of over a dozen certificates awarded to the business. We didn't know they still did calligraphy like this for awards...

FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS PARADE

In recognition of the Best New Business Award, school founders Lisa Michiko Kato and Mark Fitchett were asked to ride in an open top Jaguar at the annual Festival of Lights Parade in Rolling Hills Estates...in December...Brrrrr!!!
